Meet the CJ. Talent team

The CJ. Talent team is a small, high energy group of experienced professionals. Between us we have extensive business and executive experience in a wide variety of industry sectors and functional roles. This means we understand both client requirements, and candidate aspirations from first-hand experience. We use that knowledge to provide guidance to clients and candidates alike, and ensure we match the best candidate to the right role. We bring a fresh approach to sourcing high calibre talent.

Caroline Doherty - CJ Talent team

Caroline
Doherty

Managing Director

Caroline is MD of CJ Talent. She is a qualified HR professional with a postgraduate diploma in HRD. Caroline worked with Caledonian Airways where, amongst other things, she successfully headed up that company’s volume recruitment strategy. In 2000 Caroline joined HRi sourcing, providing HR talent at senior management and director level across all sectors, moving in 2003 to a business development role. In 2009 Caroline set up and successfully ran an HR consultancy offering generalist advice to SMEs before joining CJ Talent in 2012.

Jayne Winch - CJ Team

Jayne Winch

Account Manager

Jayne is an Account Manager with CJ Talent and has over 20 years’ experience within the recruitment industry. She has worked with clients across a variety of sectors including global law firms, accountancies and consultancies as well as within education, placing Information, Library and Knowledge Management professionals. More recently Jayne has worked on an in-house role for Microsoft hiring technical consultants across EMEA. She enjoys building in-depth, successful relationships with clients and candidates and helping to make the ideal work/life balance a success.

Jennifer Brooks

Senor Account Manager

Jennifer Brooks is a Senior Account Manager for CJ Talent. With a background in marketing, Jennifer has spent the majority of her career in Account Management and Sales Team Management. She spent 4 years at Thomson Reuters becoming UK Sales Director before moving into working with SMEs where she used her skills and experience to implement sales and growth strategies. Jennifer is passionate about working with clients to understand their needs and put in place flexible solutions that enable them to achieve their own business objectives.

Sandra Plunkett

Operations Manager

Sandra is CJ Talent’s Operations Manager and is responsible for the smooth running of all CJ Talent’s Business Processes. She also manages the business’s finances, systems and management information. Sandra has extensive experience delivering CRM, database and IT system solutions having worked for top tier firms in the legal, property, management and financial sectors.

Sandra monitors CJ Talent’s quality of service for candidates and clients and, together with the management team, ensures top standards are delivered.

GILL STEWART

Executive Chair

Gill has over 25 years’ experience in the recruitment industry both within owner/managed businesses and within the larger corporate environment.

Gill was a Director and shareholder of the specialist office recruiter, Tate and was part of the team who sold to Carlisle Staffing in 2000. She then set up Carlisle’s Managed Solutions business before leaving at the end of 2008 to become a self-employed consultant/advisor in 2009.

Her expertise is in both RPO/Managed Services and the professional staffing sector and she also has exposure to many other recruitment disciplines through RPO and during her work as a consultant.

She has a particular passion for SME recruitment businesses and enjoys supporting and mentoring owner/managed businesses helping them to achieve their next level of growth and potential.

She acts as a Chief Examiner and Subject Matter Expert for the REC (Recruitment and Employment Confederation) focusing on Strategic Business Planning, Sales and Bid Management.

She is a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals and a one time Governor sitting on the Education and Training Committee. She was awarded the REC Business Manager of the Year award in 2000.
