A not-for-profit organisation supporting climate change and energy issues in the UK has an exciting new role for a People and Operations Director. Working within a small dynamic team, the successful candidate will be an experienced leader who will work at strategic level to help the organisation grow and develop.
Specifics include:
- Working on procedures to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
- Overseeing HR processes (recruitment, appraisals, pay reviews, professional development, training, sourcing consultants etc)
- Overseeing equality, diversity and inclusion practices
- Maintaining and developing relationships with funders and securing future income
- Stakeholder relationship building
- Regular reporting
- Working on grant funding proposals
- Managing governance and compliance including operational risk, GDPR and cyber security
- Working with finance in the development of the annual budget and day to day finances
About you:
- Experience of leading and developing teams
- Be able to make challenging strategic decisions regarding budgets, teams and processes
- Experience of working in or around communications, media, policy or politics
- Experience of working with budgets
- People management and HR experience
- Interest in climate and/or energy issues
This is a fast-paced environment and candidates will need to be able to speak credibly and diplomatically with external organisations such as the press and government. It's a brilliant opportunity to work flexibly within an interesting and growing organisation.
Flexibility: Hybrid role – at least 3.5 days per week, 2 in the office
Location: Home and London
Pay: £60k – £70k FTE
